Jimmy Clewes Bring your Own Wood Limited Class Size (6 People)

If you have a piece of wood in your garage that's been there forever and have always been afraid to turn; or afraid you'll mess it up an expensive piece of wood, or just cannot figure out what to make out of it Bring it to this class. We will limit class size to 6 thus making it a more intimate class and will lend itself to getting you more one on one time with the instructor.

The first 30 minutes of the class will be a round table discussion on ideas of what to turn out of your piece of wood and how to chuck it and turn it. The remainder of the class will be you actually turning the piece. 

Jimmy will help you with design, tool technique and finishing. All these skills will greatly add to your skills as a woodturner. In addition,; you will take home a truly unique turning that will be the center point of any conversation when you are showing others your turning collection. If time allows you will do a second project so bring several pieces of wood.

Intermediate to Advanced Turners only:

We ask that only Intermediate or advanced turners take this class as the emphasis will be on design proper work holding and then tool technique.

We ask that turners have at least turned several bowls or hollow forms, and have a basic understanding and use of a bowl gouge, and can use them with both the push and pull cuts.
