The Heritage Rough Rider American Flag Grips Texas Star Medallion set is the most distinctly Texan upgrade you can make to a single-action revolver — and on a Rough Rider with genuine Western character, it fits exactly right.
Each panel is master-crafted from solid walnut and features a beautifully detailed flowing American flag design that wraps fully around the handle for a striking, custom appearance. This isn’t a decal or a printed finish — it’s dimensional carved woodwork that gives the walnut real visual depth and a genuinely custom look. The design is anchored by a Texas Star medallion integrated cleanly into each panel, adding a bold Lone Star finish that layers perfectly over the patriotic flag carving without competing with it.
Utilizing state-of-the-art CNC fabrication, these grips are engineered to precise dimensions — maintaining the original feel of the Rough Rider’s grip frame while delivering a significant visual upgrade. Drops in without modification and works with both .22 LR and .22 Magnum configurations.

These premium European walnut panels provide a high-quality, customizable ergonomic upgrade that allows you to apply a personal finish to precision-machined hardwood.
These Grips do not have a final top coat applied. This allows you to put on the specific top coat and sheen you like.
For an easy to apply and traditional look we recommend Watco Natural or any of the Watco Danish oils with a walnut tint such as Watco Light Walnut, Watco Dark Walnut or Watco Black Walnut. We recommend 4-8 coats for best results.
If you prefer a spray on finish we recommend Pro Luxe Lacquer. It comes in Satin, Semi Gloss and Gloss. This is an easy to apply finish and permanently seals the wood. Usually takes 4-6 coats.
