~ Basic Application
- Sand your work perfectly to at least 400 grit;
- Shake bottle well before use (this product contains solids);
- Apply at least two coats using cloth, paper towel, brush or airbrush or other method, allowing to dry between coats;
- Seal the wood an appropriate sealer, and allow to dry thoroughly;
- Lightly cut the sealer back;
- Apply your preferred finish.
- We recommend Hampshire Sheen Cellulose Sanding Sealer or our Professional Matt Sealer paired with our Professional gloss or satin lacquers or waxes for the best possible result.
~ Uses
Use for the colouring of decorative woodturning and other woodwork items.
*These colours are not paints! Remember that dyes and stains have a level of translucency and will be effected by the natural colour of the wood. For the best and brightest results, use pale woods like sycamore, maple or ash. Results will vary on darker wood species.
~ Application Methods
Suitable for applying by hand using paper towel, brush, airbrush, and most other methods.
~ Clean up
Use methylated spirits (denatured alcohol) or isopropyl alcohol to wipe up spills or clean hands. Product will dye skin for several days. Wear gloves. Use methylated spirits, isopropyl alcohol or airbrush cleaner for cleaning brushes and airbrushes
~ Colour and Aroma
Waterbased colour stain, dark blue in the bottle. No noticeable aroma.
~ Container
Supplied in a recycled 125ml Boston bottle.
~ Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, ideally between 10° and 30°C (50° and 90°F) Where possible. Protect from extreme heat and freezing. Keep out of direct sunlight.
~ Longevity – Use By
Kept according to instructions, you can expect the product to last indefinitely.
~ Food Contact and Toy Safe?
Unknown – product has not been tested.

~ Product Label Warning
Warning: May cause an allergic skin reaction. Avoid breathing vapor/ spray. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wear protective gloves/ protective clothing/ eye protection/ face protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Dispose of contents/ container in accordance with national regulations.
