This is a carbonized bamboo edge guard with internal magnets to help keep it in place. This one is designed to work with Chef Knives. Edge Guards are great if you store your knives in a drawer or if you use a roll and want extra protection for the roll. Overall Length is 9.5" and Width is 2.25".

VG10 HAMMERED PATTERN - CHEF KNIFE & VG10 Raindrop Pattern Chef Knife.
Some extend 1/4" at the rear due to contact with the bolster. Sanding out the rear notch should fix that.
