Hock Krenov-style Wooden Plane Kit

This precision-made kit makes it a snap to make your own wooden plane. Complete with a Hock plane blade assembly (blade and cap iron), the kit includes everything you need to make a Krenov-style, flat-bottom wooden plane.

The body and sides are accurately milled jatoba. The assembled plane has a 1 1/2" blade bedded at 45° and is about 11 1/2" long by 2 1/4" square. You then shape the body to suit your preferred grip and can trim the plane to the desired length.

To assemble, all you need is a drill, some clamps, glue, a knife to adjust the throat, sandpaper to true the sole and a means of sharpening the blade. Instructions included.
