Price is per blank. Blank measures 3/4" square by 5" long. The blank shown was sanded and lacquered before being photographed.
The blanks are made from Selmar 41 resin.
These blanks are made in small batches here in the USA, so some small variations in color from batch to batch should be expected. The patterns in the blanks will definitely vary and no one blank will be the same as another.
The blank you will receive is raw and it is difficult to see the colors. Once you turn or sand off the top layer they are as beautiful as the one you see in the picture.
Care should be taken when drilling as chip-out is possible as the drill bit exits the blank. The blanks have about the same level of brittleness as the RhinoPlastic blanks. The blanks turn most like the Lava family of blanks carried by Bear Tooth Woods.
The vendor and Bear Tooth Woods highly recommend to paint the tubes and inside of the blank as the resins used can be very translucent. To see an example, take a look at the picture at the bottom of the page. The painting may not be needed on some blanks, but it is a good precaution to save heartache later down the line.
The colors in the Color Swirl blanks are fantastic and well worth using on your pens. Give them a try and you will be satisfied with how well they polish up and add color and sparkle to your project.
