ULU Blade Blank Tab Style Stainless - Small
Tab Style Stainless ULU Knife Blank - Small
What is an ULU? This all-purpose knife traditionally used by Inuit, Yupik and Aleut women. It is utilized in applications as diverse as skinning and cleaning animals, cutting a child's hair, cutting food, as a weapon and, if necessary, trimming blocks of snow and ice used to build an igloo.
Inspired by my travels to the Arctic circle I'm always looking for new ideas. I missed the annual whale hunt by a day in Barrow, AK. but left with fresh ideas. Having made contact with different Eskimo villages I left with 4 new designs.
These were traditionally used in all ways including skinning and preparing a hide. Largely these have been re-purposed for use in the modern kitchen. Great for chopping and dicing making these into a custom chopper tells a romantic past with a modern twist.
Customized with your handles will be great item for re-sellers and one of kind item in the kitchen.
